    Clients who onboard through Altruist will immediately notice the smooth digital account opening experience that literally takes minutes to establish.

    We are able to provide custom portfolio options that utilize multi-sleeve approaches to include UMAs, SMAs, Direct Indexing, Tax-Aware, and Buffered strategies.

    Altruist also offers a separate high-yield cash account that is a great place for clients to partition and safely grow emergency funds or short-term idle cash.

  • Charles Schwab is probably one of the most recognized asset custodian names, and righfully so — as of 2024 Schwab has custody of over $7 trillion in customer assets.

    Canopy FinSol utilizes Schwab for their ability to integrate with “alternative investment” solutions that provide diversification and income opportunities through other asset classes and structured products.

    These investment solutions with their added complexities are typically better-suited to higher net worth clients with investment profiles and experience that warrant their use.

    Because of the custom nature of these solutions, there is an investment minimum of $150,000 and additional platform fees that can range from 25bps to 70bps.

  • AssetMark is what’s known as a Turnkey Asset Management Platform (TAMP).

    TAMPs can serve as a one-stop shop bundled solution for financial advisor of varying business models.

    I turn to AssetMark for niche client needs typically associated with higher net worth investors. While they also offer a “menu” of model portfolio strategies, Canopy FinSol primarily uses AssetMark Trust professional trustee services.

    Because we have a deeper focus on estate planning, we are able to work together with licensed legal professionals to provide ongoing, fiduciary management of client assets held in “Trust.”

    In collaboration with Brick City Law and AssetMark, Canopy FinSol helps clients implement an estate plan that not only includes the relevant legal documents, but also the professional oversight necessary to grow, safeguard, and distribute assets according client wishes.
